Produced by ITV in cooperation with SCETV, this series features primitive life experts who participated in a primitive week celebration, which was coordinated by Tom Mancke and held at Hammond School in Columbia, South Carolina. The programs tell the story of how primitive people used the materials found in nature to create such useful things as musical instruments and cordage, as well as needed tools to assist with day-to-day life.
NOTE: Teachers are advised to preview lesson 6 for scenes and content that they feel may not be appropriate for use in their classrooms. (© 2003)
